Nagpur: A maid servant allegedly relieved his employer of gold ornaments valued at Rs 2 lakh in Mankapur area. The theft took place in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.
The victim Piyush Manojkumar Motsaram (25), resident of Plot No. 1, Mansarovar Colony, Mankapur, along with family had gone out of station for attending wedding of a relative on December 3. The accused maid servant Niraj Jaiswal (33) was entrusted the responsibility to guard the house. However, when one of the relatives by chance returned to Piyush’s house, he found that the outer gate and door of the hall wide open. The relative immediately informed Piyush about the incident. Piyush rushed to his house and inspected the entire households. He found gold ornaments worth Rs 2 lakh kept in almirah missing.
Mankapur API Hande, based on a plaint filed by Piyush, has booked the accused maid servant under Section 380 of IPC and probing the matter further.
