Aurangabad: A major fire broke out in the Manik hospital in Aurangabad city of Maharashtra on Monday. The fire tenders were immediately rushed to the spot. The officials rescued 30 patients safely and on time.
However, no deaths were reported in the incident but some patients suffered suffocation due to smoke. Panic gripped the area and locals were also seen helping rescue team in dousing the fire. According to reports in The Hindu, the incident occurred in the basement of the Hospital in the morning. Within minutes bog clouds of smoke were seen coming up to the first floor.
According to reports, more than 20 ambulances were pressed into service to rescue the patients. A probe was underway to ascertain the exact cause of the accident. This is a developing story and further details are awaited in the incident.
