Nagpur News : Sankat Chaturthi proved true to its name today for the residents of Shanti Nagar area. The residents must also be thankful to MSEDCL because a major mishap was averted on Wednesday due to power cut. On Wednesday morning, just a few minutes later when power went off, a major wire line suddenly broke and fell on the road causing panic and tension in the area.
According to the residents, the wire lines suddenly started felling on the road leaving passer-biers stunned for few moments. No casualties were recorded since the power was off. Had the power was on, it could have proved to a major mishap causing as much as 100 casualties. This raises a question over the maintenance of such wire lines and safety of residents.
