‘Makdee’ Actress and Once a household name, owing to her impeccable performance as a child artiste in Ekta Kapoor’s ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’ Shweta Basu Prasad arrested by the Hyderabad Police in connection with a high profile prostitution racket.
Reports said the 23-year-old actor was caught “in a compromising position” after the Hyderabad Police raided a famous hotel at the upscale Banjara Hills in the city.
Shweta tasted success at a very tender age and went on to grab great roles in films such as ‘Makdee’, which even won her a National Award for Best Child Artist in the year 2002. Incidentally, this is not the first time that her name has surfaced in connection with a prostitution racket.Reportedly, Shweta was exposed in a sting operation recently.

According to reports, the ‘Makdee’ actress due to her financial losses took to flesh trade and voluntarily got into the prostitution racket.
“I have made wrong choices in my career, and I was out of money. I had to support my family and some other good causes. All the doors were closed, and some people encouraged me to get into prostitution to earn money. I was helpless, and with no option left to choose, I got involved in this act. I’m not the only one who faced this problem, and there are several other heroines who have gone through this phase,” Shweta said in her statement.
