Nagpur: A 40-year-old man was bludgeoned to death by his two friends following the latter’s refusal to pay for beer in Ambashakti Nagar under Ajni Police jurisdiction here, between the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday.
The deceased has been identified as Sandeep Kisanrao Dupare (40), a resident of Kapil Nagar Plot No 2, Besa Road.

According to police sources, Dupare was roaming around like a nomad for the past three months. Between the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday, he was passing through Ambashakti Nagar when he ran into his two friends. The duo had expressed their will to drink cold beer to cope with high temperatures. However, Dupare refused their demand. Irked over which an argument broke out between them. In the fit of rage, the accused duo first manhandled Dupare and bludgeoned him to death using heavy stones.
Cops, in the meantime, have identified the accused duo and rounded them up at Ajni Police Station.
