Nagpur: In a bizarre incident, a man locked his wife and son in a room and burgled gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 26.54 lakh from their house in Mankapur area here on Sunday. The accused was living separately in Besa area. Cops have registered a case and searching for the accused.
A resident of Plot No. 25, Kolte Layout, Godhni Road, Mankapur, Gayatri Nitin Sinha (37) in her complaint told police that she and her son were at home on Sunday. Around 4 pm, her husband Nitin Nandkishore Sinha (41), who resides separately as tenant in Ajay Pande’s house in Besa, came to their house.
The accused asked Gayatri and her son to go to a room and locked it from outside. After locking them, the accused Nitin smashed locker of a wooden almirah in the bedroom and decamped with gold and diamond jewellery worth Rs 26.54 lakh.
