According to police, on Saturday afternoon at 1.30 pm, Bholu took his own life by hanging himself at home. Family members discovered him and alerted the police. The Shanti Nagar police arrived at the scene and sent the body for post-mortem.

During the search, the police also recovered a suicide note left by Bholu in which he expressed his frustration with the harassment from betel nut traders and the constant threats over money, which ultimately led to the suicide.

Police said that based on Bholu’s suicide note, a case was filed against the traders for allegedly forcing him into suicide. Bholu’s suicide note contains several details that will be acted upon accordingly.

Debt of approximately Rs 3 crore

The police revealed that Bholu’s son Ishwar had initially partnered with Sonu Dhanjani in the betel nut business, owning a warehouse and factory in Kalamna. Ishwar used to procure goods from major traders, process them into powder, and sell them in the market. Following a dispute with Sonu, Ishwar continued the business independently but accumulated debts amounting to lakhs of rupees owed to various traders.

Despite selling the goods at reduced prices, he failed to settle his debts, resulting in financial pressure from traders such as Asif, Wasim, Jilani, Imran Arif, Javed, Assu, Sagar, Nikhil, Mukesh, Sufail, Kishore, Deepak, Ravi, Dayaram, Sunil, Vijay, Mahavir, Gopi, and Anand, totaling about Rs 3 crore. The traders frequently called Ishwar’s father Bholu after Ishwar diverted his phone calls.
