Man duped of Rs 2.5 Lakh with fake job promise in MahaMetro

Nagpur: As the works of Metro Rail is progressing in the Second Capital of the State, there are several touts flourishing on the sidelines of the ambitious project too, who are trying to woo unemployed youth and their parents with fake promises of job in the project to cheat upon gullible citizens.

In a similar incident, a 54-year-old man has been allegedly duped of Rs 2.50 Lakh on the pretext of providing a job to his son in Nagpur. The incident was reported under Bajaj Nagar Police Station.

Cops have booked the accused identified as Mukul Devnath Wankhede, a resident of Anubhav Arcade near Petrol Pump, Kapil Shankar Wat, Ritesh Kishor Mehar, a resident of Hanuman Nagar, Kamptee under Sections 420, 34 of the IPC in this connection.

According to complainant Ramkrushna Ajabrao Ingole (54), a resident of Abhyankar Nagar the accused trio took Rs 2.5 Lakh in the lieu of providing his son a job in Nagpur Metro Rail Corporation back in 2017. However, over the years, they failed to provide any job or returned the entire amount to Ingole. Following which he approached Bajaj Nagar Police with a complaint.
