In another unscrupulous act that has come to fore, a man sold off the shops which were Mortgaged to the bank by making duplicate or forged documents and thus duping the bank in Kalamna area.

On the basis of the complaint lodged by Bank Manager Ravishankar Kumbhare, the Kalamna police have registered an offence against the accused identified as Ranvir Singh Gurcharan Singh Chandake aged 47 years and a resident of Baba Buddaji Nagar for duping the bank of Rs 29 lakhs.

According to police sources, Senior Manager of Bank of India Ravishankar Kumbhare and a resident of Vishwas Nagar, Nara Road lodged a complaint with Kalamna Police Station of the accused Ranvir Singh Chandake of duping the bank of Rs 29 lakhs.
He alleged that the accused Ranvir Singh Chandake had taken a loan and had mortgaged the documents of his two shops (Shop No 15 and 71) of a complex situated in Kapsi Kurd. He had taken a loan of Rs 29 lakhs against the mortgaged shops. Since the accused had not repaid the loans for a long time, the banks verified the documents in order to take possession of the property. While investigating the said property, the bank authorities learnt that the accused Ranvir Singh Chandake had made duplicate and forged documents and had sold off the two mortgaged shops.

On learning this incident, Senior Manager of Bank of India Ravishankar Kumbhare and a resident of Vishwas Nagar, Nara Road lodged a complaint with Kalamna Police Station against the accused for duping the bank.

Police Sub Inspector Analdas of Kalamna Police Station registered a case of committing fraud against the accused Ranvir Singh Chandake. Further investigations are underway.
