Nagpur: Within 48 hours of a woman’s death in a tiger attack, another person got injured in a tiger attack that took place in Peth Parsodi in Parseoni Taluka of Nagpur district on Thursday morning.
Chandrakant Ingle (45), a resident of Peth Parsodi, was working in his agricultural land, when the tiger attacked and injured him. The villagers who were working near the area rushed to the spot and shifted Ingle to Meditrina Hospital in Nagpur.
After getting information about the incident, Dr Bharat Singh Hada, Deputy Conservator of Forest, Nagpur met the victim at the hospital. He was accompanied by Ravi Ghadge, ACF; and AB Bhagat, RFO.
The Forest Department started enquiry and conducted panchnama of the spot as per the guidelines of National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA). On Tuesday also, one woman was killed in a tiger attack in Ramtek taluka. After that incident, the villagers vandalised forest vehicles and injured forest guards.
