Man murdered over breaking of mobile phone in Wathoda

Nagpur: In yet another murder over petty issue within 24, a 31-year old man was done to death in Wathoda police jurisdiction Wednesday morning.

The deceased, identified as Salluram alias Rinku Kumar (31), was working as labourer in a factory near Renuka Mata Mandir, Bidgaon in Wathoda police area.

According to sources, a brawl erupted between the accused Pradeep Kumar and Rinku Kumar around 11.30 pm on Tuesday. The cause behind the fracas reportedly was the breaking of a mobile phone. Enraged over this, the accused Pradeep Kumar attacked Rinku with a wooden rod and injured him seriously. Around 5.30 am on Wednesday, some workers of the factory informed police that an injured man was lying near the factory. A team of Wathoda police reached the spot and called for an ambulance. The injured Rinku Kumar was being taken to a hospital but he died midway.

Wathoda police registered a case under Section 302 of the IPC and started a probe. The accused Pradeep Kumar, also a labourer, has reportedly been arrested.
