Nagpur: In a shocking incident near Hanuman Mandir, Padole Nagar, Nandanvan, a man has been accused of murdering his mentally ill sister. The deceased has been identified as Mona alias Khushi Kiran Chaudhary, aged 38. The accused, Suraj alias Balya Laxman Rakshak, aged 50 and a resident of Padole Nagar, Nandanvan, has been taken into custody by the authorities.
Suraj Rakshak, employed as a labourer, had been responsible for his sister Mona’s care for several years. Mona was suffering from a mental illness, and all her treatment was being conducted at home, confined to her bed. Over time, the continuous care giving may have taken a toll on Suraj’s mental well-being.
Preliminary investigations by the police suggest that Suraj Rakshak’s mental condition might have deteriorated due to the prolonged care of his sister. This situation, coupled with the pressures and challenges of managing his sister’s mental illness, could have led him to commit the heinous act. The authorities are closely examining this angle to understand the motive behind the crime.
Upon receiving the information about the incident, Nandanvan police swiftly arrested the accused, Suraj Rakshak. The investigation is ongoing, and the police are meticulously gathering evidence to build a strong case against the suspect.
