Nagpur: A man not only raped a woman on marriage pretext but also threatened to kill her if she lodged a police complaint against him.
A resident of 103, Sindhi Colony, near Shitala Mata Mandir, Khamla, Jetanand alias Jai Sureshkumar Narayani lured the 26-year old victim woman with a marriage promise. With his bogus promising words, the accused exploited the woman sexually between February 14, 2014 and October 16, 2018. The accused also indulged in unnatural sex with the woman. However, when the victim insisted the accused to marry with her, he flatly refused to do so. Morever, the accused Jetanand Narayani threatened to kill her if she lodged police complaint against him.

Pratap Nagar ASI Vasanta, acting on the woman’s complaint, booked the accused Jetanand Narayani under Sections 376, 377, 506 of the IPC read with Sections 3(F), 2(D) of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989 and launched an in-depth investigation into the matter.
