Nagpur: A man who was assaulted murderously in Nandanvan area of Nagpur succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment in a hospital. Two persons have been arrested in this connection.
The deceased is been identified as Umesh Gangadhar Kalbande (30).

The incident took place on August 27, 2024 around 10:30 pm near Lohana Samaj Bhawan, Hivari Nagar, Nandanvan. The accused Nihal Narendra Shende (22 years) and Nadir Khan Atiq Khan Pathan (27 years) have been arrested by the police.
Due to an old dispute, the accused brutally beat up Kalbande. He was seriously injured and was immediately admitted to New Era Hospital for treatment. However, despite medical efforts, he died on September 5.
After Akash Gangadhar Kalbande, the brother of deceased Umesh, filed a complaint at Nandanvan Police Station, the police registered a case against both the accused and started further investigation. The police also seized the knife used in the crime from the possession of the accused.
