Nagpur: Max Healthcare Institute Ltd announced the acquisition of 100% stake in Alexis Multi Speciality Hospital Private Limited (Alexis) for an enterprise value of Rs 412 crore. Alexis, a 200-bed hospital located in Mankapur, North of Nagpur, on approximately 2 acres of land, is now part of Max Healthcare. The hospital, accredited by JCI, offers multidisciplinary care in Gastroenterology, Neurosurgery, Cardiology, Transplants, and related diagnostic facilities. Equipped with advanced biomedical equipment like Varian True Beam LINAC, 128 Slice CT Scan, 3 Tesla MRI, Digital X Ray, ARTIS Q Cath Lab, etc., the hospital serves the healthcare needs of Nagpur and surrounding regions.
With the potential to expand bed capacity to approximately 340 beds and strengthen medical programs in surgical specialties like CTVS, Urology, Oncology, & Neurosciences, Max Healthcare aims to enhance the quality of healthcare services in Nagpur. The strategic location of Nagpur, with its high population density of 47L and a literacy rate of ~90%, makes it a crucial healthcare hub in Central India, drawing patients from neighboring areas like Amravati, Jalgaon, Gondia, and Chhindwara. The city’s rich pool of experienced medical talent, supported by government hospitals, medical colleges, and private healthcare players, further solidifies its position in the healthcare landscape.
The acquisition not only strengthens Max Healthcare’s presence in Western India but also underscores its commitment to providing top-notch clinical care to patients across the region.
