Nagpur: With newly constructed cement roads grabbing headlines for wrong reasons, the Mayor Nanda Jichkar and Municipal Commissioner Ashvin Mudgal on Friday inspected various cement roads and projects. The Mayor directed concerned officials to ensure inconvenience is not caused to citizens while building cement roads and also ensure quality of roads is at par.
Deputy Mayor Deepraj Pardikar, Dharampeth Zone Chairperson Rupa Rai, Hanuman Nagar Zone Chairman Bhagwan Mendhe, Corporator Pintu Jhalke, Additional Commissioner R Z Siddiqui, Chief Engineer Ulhas Debadwar and other officials accompanied Jichkar and Mudgal.
The Municipal Commissioner directed the officials to check quality of newly constructed cement roads from time to time and submit reports. Contractors should see that while carrying out development works, citizens are not hassled.
