Nagpur: Blood can’t be manufactured and hence to save the life, only way is to donate blood. On this statement, Red Ribbon Club (RRC) of National Service Scheme (NSS) cell of G H Raisoni College of Engineering, Nagpur held a Mega blood donation camp at campus.
The camp was inaugurated by the gracious hands of Shri. GajananRajmane, DCP Nagpur Zone 3 & Dr. Sachin Untawale, Director GHRCE Nagpur. The anchoring of program was done by Ms. Sharvari& Mr. Harshal. The program started with the preamble by Dr. Mangesh Bhorkar, NSS Head, GHRCE. He stated the footprints of NSS at GHRCE& given information about the NSS Day.

The office bearers of NSS Cell, Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat (EBSB) Cell & Red Ribbon Club (RRC) received the badges by the hands of chief guest. In this program the prizes, medals & certificates distributed to the winner of various competitions which were held on 24th September 2022 (NSS Day). In the address of Dr. Sachin Untawale, he urged all students to be a good engineer & a good citizen. Dr. Ashish Khandelwal, Director GSK Blood bank created awareness & told importance about the donation of blood.
Shri GajananRajmane Sir talked with students and motivated them. He stated that, the NSS is root to promote good culture in students. He motivated student to develop moral ethics among them. Also he talked on ill effects of drug, alcohol & tobacco addiction and urged all student say no to drugs. The inauguration program was ended with the vote of thanks by Mr. Sajid Hussain, NSS President. 200+ units of blood bags have been collected in this camp. All students’ staff and supporting staff have participated in this campaign & donated blood. The program was well organized in association with GSK Blood Bank Nagpur and coordinated by Dr.Mangesh Bhorkar, NSS Head under the valued guidance of Dr.Sachin Untawale, Director GHRCE Nagpur.
