Middle-aged-man dead in head on collision of motorcycles

Nagpur News: A middle-aged-man was killed while another who sustained minor injuries ran away from the spot after a head-on collision between two motorcyclists on Friday under the jurisdiction of Kotwali Police Station. Police said, the accident took place in front of Jamdar High School. Rajesh Ramasre Shahu (40), a resident of Darshan Colony, was going on his CD Honda (MH 31 BM 7724) bike. In front of Jamdar High School, Great Nag Road, a speeding motorcyclist (MH 31 DA 7173) came from opposite direction and hit Shahu’s bike.

Shahu was taken to hospital where the doctors declared him dead. The accused sustained minor injuries. Fearing public wrath, the other motorcyclist left his bike on the spot and fled away. Kotwali Police registered an offence of accidental death and are further investigating the case.
