Nagpur: In a sensational midnight incident, a renowned lawyer of Nagpur and his son murdered a client in cold blood over a money dispute on Sunday under the jurisdiction of the Jaripatka Police Station.
The accused lawyer has been identified as Ashwin Wasnik, a resident of Math Mohalla locality of Indora.
According to information, the accused Adv Ashwin Wasnik had invited his client, Harish Diwakar Karade, to his home on Sunday night. The client had mortgaged his farmland, worth lakhs of rupees, with the lawyer. For the past few days, there had been disputes over the money related to the farmland.

On Sunday night, lawyer Ashwin Wasnik hosted a liquor party at his home with his client. During the party, a heated argument ensued. In a fit of rage, Ashwin Wasnik, along with his son, attacked the client, Harish Karade (60), with an axe, killing him on the spot.
On Monday morning, Ashwin Wasnik went to the Jaripatka Police Station and surrendered himself. The Jaripatka Police have registered a case of murder and have commenced further investigations.
The deceased, Harish Karade, was a retired Indian Air Force employee.
