A 15-year-old minor girl of was raped by accused Mahesh Babanrao Wankhede aged 22 years and a resident of Lohgad, Taluka, Kalmeshwar, Dist Nagpur. According to sources in the police department, the accused had wooed the girl from her residence in Vishwakarma Nagar and had taken the girl under the pretext of getting married to Gujrat. He had stayed with the girl and had physical relationship with her for nearly 8 months. (May 19, 2013 to February 18, 2014).
On the return of the minor girl from Gujrat, the girl had allegedly complained to her mother and had related how she was promised of getting married with the accused, but even after 8 months, when he did not marry her, she had come back to her home. On the basis of the complaint of the mother of the victim girl, a complaint has been lodged against the accused in Ajni Police Station. PI Dumre of Ajni Police Station registered a case under section 363, 366 (A), 376 (1, 2, H sub-section 3, 4, 6) and law under sexual of children 2005 of IPC. He has started investigating into the matter.
