Miscreants arrested for ransacking Rajvilas Talkies, demanding extortion from owner in Nagpur

Nagpur: Kotwali Police have arrested four anti-social elements for allegedly ransacking Rajvilas Talkies in Kotwali and also issuing threats to its manager for extortion on Monday night.

Based on the complaint lodged by Lalit Shriram Gawande (32), a resident of Kavlapeth and manager of Rajvilas Talkies, Kotwali Police have booked the accused identified as Lalit Ajay Bhamole (25), a resident of Juni Shukrawari, Karan Bhupendra Kamble (19), a resident of Pivali Marbat Chowk, Nihaal Sanjay Shendre (20), a resident of Telephone Nagar, Dighori, and Vishal Laxman Jaagare (30), a resident of Juni Mangalwari under Sections 384, 323, 504, 427, 34 of the IPC and placed them under arrest.

According to police sources, on Monday night around 10:30 pm, all the accused approached Rajvilas Talkies seeking protection money from the victim. However, when the complainant resisted, the accused reportedly ransacked the talkies and also assaulted Gawande. Following this, he approached the cops.
