Nagpur News: Starting 1st January 2013, a Mobile Lok Adalat will be visiting towns and villages in the district, to educate citizens about different laws and to sort out the issues of the people. This novel project is being arranged by the District Legal Services Authority in the new year. Under this project, all the facilities of a regular lok adalat will be provided in a moving vehicle. Judicial authorities, lawyers, legal scholars and social workers will also be travelling in the vehicle, and visiting place to place.
The vehicle will be visiting slums and tribal villages as well as cities and towns. It is part of their agenda to see women, the labour class and the underprivileged, take note of their issues and educate them about their legal rights. Similarly, police stations, offices and remand homes will also be visited for the special purpose of checking for possibly human rights violations.
The van will depart from the District Legal Services Authority Premises at 9:30 am on December 1. The van will also be visitng Morriss College T-Point and Sitabuldi police station, reaching Rahate Colony at 3:00 pm. The lok adalat will be visiting Sadar and Ambazari on 2nd January. On the third, residents of Ganeshpeth, Gittikhadan, Nandanvan, Pachpaoli, Jaripatka will be greeted by the van and avail its services, while those of Hudkeshwar, Kotwali, Sakkardara, Imamwada, Ajni and Sonegaon will benefit on the fourth. The lok adalat will visit Hingna T- Point, Central Jail, Pratap Nagar and MIDC on 5th January. On the 6th and 7th it will be at Kalmeshwar, 8th and 9th at Katol, 10th and 11th at Narkhed, 13th and 14th at Saoner, 15th and 16th at Parshivni, 17th and 18th at Ramtek, 19th and 20th at Mauda, 21st and 22nd at Kuhi, 23rd and 24th at Umrer, 25th at Bhivapur, 28th and 29th at Kamptee and 30th and 31st at Hingna.
