Mobile phones worth Rs 4.80 lakh stolen from LG Shoppy in Wadi

Nagpur: Unidentified burglars struck at a mobile shoppy in Wadi area and decamped with cell phone handsets of different companies worth Rs 4.80 lakh in the morning of Tuesday or Wednesday.

The complainant Pramod Kanandilal Gupta (35), resident of Plot No. 170/4, Maroti Nagar, Dattawadi, told police that he owns LG Mobile Shoppy at MIDC T-Point. Between 10.30 am of Tuesday and 9 am of Wednesday, unidentified miscreants smashed the door lock of his shoppy and laid their hands on a number of cell phone handsets of different companies worth Rs 4.80 lakh. Cash of Rs 2600 was also stolen from the shop. As the theft came to notice of Pramod, he lodged a complaint with Wadi police in this connection.

PSI A Lakde has booked the unidentified burglars under Sections 457, 380 of the IPC and searching for them.
