As Narendra Modi took oath for the nation’s top post, the community hailing from Gujarat here were in for a grand celebration on Sunday. The members from Shree Gujarati Samaj Nagpur took out a vast rally throughout the city areas. The members riding on vehicles and on foot, swinging in joy, processed through the city streets. The colors of celebration were effervescent as the rally comprised the members from all age groups. The Gujarati Samaj’s rally was unprecedented as Modi belongs to Gujarat.
The rally proceeded from Shree Kutchh Patidar Samaj Bhawan on Monday afternoon flowed through Jalaram Mandir Marg, Quetta Colony, Satranjipura, Juna Motor Stand square, Anaj Bazar, Shaheed Chowk, Sarafa Market, Tanga Stand Chowk, Itwari road, Gandhi Putla, Madanmohan Haveli, Badkas Chowk, Chitnis Park, Gandhi Sagar, Subhash road, Agyaram Devi temple, Dalda factory raod, Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel chowk, Ghat Road, Mehadia chowk, and reached Gujarati Bhawan on Wardha road through Yashwant Stadium.
A large screen was put up at Gujarati Bhawan showcasing the live telecast of Modi’s swearing-in ceremony.
Shaileshbhai Dwivedi, President of Gujarati Samajo and Hon. Secretary Rajesh Shah was among the hordes of community members.
The members also distributed water pouches and buttermilk in order to beat the scorching city heat.
