Nagpur: While the Second Capital of the State experienced light drizzles on Sunday, the Regional Meteorological Department (RMC) has predicted heavy rains after Pola in the district.
There is a chance of a cyclonic circulation occurring twice in the Bay of Bengal, leading to low-pressure areas which may bring rain to Vidarbha and Maharashtra from September 15 to September 23. However, due to the El-Nino impact, rainfall in the state is expected to be below normal this month too.
In August, the city received 42% less rain than the monthly average. While there was some relief with 178.9 mm of rainfall in the first 10 days of this month, compared to the average of 183.7 mm, the current rain spell is helping to make up for the August rainfall deficit.c
