Nagpur News: In a sensitive development, divisional deputy director of education has served a show-cause notice to Shivaji Science College.
Asking the college why its current academic session should not be derecognised, the authorities have directed college administration to furnish causes for irregularities within eight days.

District chief of Shiv Sena, Shekhar Sawarbandhe had recently lodged a complaint to divisional deputy director of education Mahesh Karajgaonkar. He had alleged that Motion IIT JEE, private coaching class is being run in Shivaji Science College. A single member committee of assistant director of education P P Nikas was formed to conduct inquiry into the matter. The committee submitted its report on April 10 stating private tuition class is being run in the college.
It was stated in the notice that private tuition class is banned in college premises under section 4 (5) of Maharashtra Private School Employees (service conditions) Act, 1977 and under section 23 of Maharashtra Private School Employees (service conditions) Regulations 1981.
