Motorcycle-borne thieves lay hands of gold mangalsutra, booked

Nagpur News : Motorcycle-borne chain-snatched relieved a 52-year-old woman of her mangalsutra worth Rs 45,000 under the jurisdiction of Sonegaon Police Station on Friday.

The complainant Meena Murlidhar Tosaniwar (52), a resident of Shilpa Nagar, was going to her relative’s house at Shilpa Society on her Activa moped (MH 31 BM 4515) on Friday at 4.15 pm. Two unidentified youths came on a motorcycle and the pillion rider snatched away Meena’s mangalsutra worth Rs 45,000 in front of Plot No. 89, Shilpa Society. Before Meena could raise an alarm, the thieves sped away.

She lodged a complaint with Sonegaon police who booked the thieves after registering a case under sections 392 and 34 of the IPC.
