Nagpur: A bike-borne youth was killed and another injured in a head-on collision between two motorcycles, including a Bullet, in the MIHAN area of Hingna Police Station of Nagpur.
According to police, the accident occurred late Saturday night. The injured, identified as Rajesh Parasram Dwivedi (45), from Wanadongri; and the deceased, Chetan Rishikesh Belsare (30), from Piwaskarwadi, Hingna, were involved in the accident. Chetan was riding a Bullet (MH49/W-2065), while Rajesh was on a motorcycle (MH-31-AQ-9459). The collision occurred on Saturday at 10 pm near Gadge Maharaj College in MIHAN which resulted in injuries to both riders.

Upon receiving the information, the Hingna Police team arrived at the scene. Both victims were initially admitted to a hospital in Hingna. However, due to the severity of Chetan’s injuries, doctors advised shifting him to AIIMS. Chetan succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
A case under Sections 279, 337 and 304 (a) of the Indian Penal Code was registered by Hingna Police. Further investigation is on.
