Nagpur: An aged watchman going for duty was knocked dead by a rashly driven motorcycle in Yashodhara Nagar area on Friday night. The unidentified motorcyclist has been booked and being searched by cops.
The deceased Mohan Gariba Sahare (67), resident of Kundanlal Gupta Nagar, left home around 8 pm on Friday walking for performing watchman’s duty at a private establishment. When Mohan reached near turning of Kawrapeth-Rajiv Nagar Road, the unidentified motorcyclist hit him. The forceful hit left the aged Mohan Sahare gravely injured and he died on the spot. On being informed, Yashodhara police reached the spot and started investigation. Later, body of Mohan was sent to Government Hospital for autopsy.
PSI Jadhav, based on a complaint filed by Sanjay Vasudeo Meshram (37), has booked the unidentified motorcyclist under Sections 279, 304(A) of IPC read with Sub-Sections 134, 177 of Motor Vehicles Act and searching for him.
