Motorcyclist with 3 girls riding pillion slips on Rajiv Gandhi fly over, Boy dies on spot


Nagpur.

A motorcyclist died while three other girls riding pillion were injured after his vehicle slipped on Rajiv Gandhi flyover here on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Bhagwati Govind Verma, 24, resident of Dhammanand Nagar. Police sources said Bhagwati was passing through the flyover on his motorcycle (MH-49/V 5992). Among the pillion riders include three girls namely Payal Shahu, Subhadra Verma and Hemlata Verma.

Sources said as he turned towards the flyover, he suddenly lost control and fell apart. All including them were injured in the incident, who were rushed to Mayo hospital. The doctors declared Bhagwati as brought dead during the preliminary investigation itself.

While Payal was being treated at the hospital, Subhadra and Hemlata were discharged after first aid.

Yashodhara Nagar police have registered the case against the deceased for recklessly driving the two-wheeler.
