Nagpur News: Principals, teachers, and other staff of non-aided colleges heaved a sigh of relief after MSCERT, Pune took a decision in favour of continuing the service of these teachers in their respective institutions was taken in a meeting held on Thursday.
Maharashtra State Council of Educational Research and Training (MSCERT), Pune had asked the colleges to recruit new staff for the year 2012-13. Thus, jobs of many principals, teachers and other staff were at stake. A delegation of All Maharashtra non-aided D Ed Teacher and Post Graduation Teachers’ Employees Association, and J M Abhyankar, Advisor of Maharashtra State D Ed Colleges Employees Association met Director General of MSCERT, Pune N K Jarag to discuss the issue. It was decided in the meeting that the employees will be retained in the respective institutions. Qualification for becoming a Professor will include 55 and above percentage in M Ed or M Sc or MA and teaching experience of five years in B Ed. Two teachers for main subjects, three teachers for institutional subjects and other staffers will continue their service.
