Nagpur: Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) will celebrate World Tourism Day on September 27 with the theme being “Tourism For All, Promoting Universall Accessibility” a slogan coined by United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
The Divyang children of Deaf and Dumb School, Shankar Nagar, will be taken for Nagpur Darshan free of cost by the MTDC as a part of World Tourism Day celebration. The Nagpur Darshan will commence at 9 am on September 27 from the regional office of MTDC, Nagpur. 21 deaf and dumb students will enjoy a trip to Deekhabhoomi, Maharajbagh, Zero Mile Monument, Central Museum (Ajab Bangla), Raman Science Centre and other places of interest.
“Bodalkasa” tourist spot:
With the concept of “Tourism For All, Promoting Universall Accessibility,” the MTDC is offering a newly “invented” tourist spot ‘Bodalkasa’ in Tirodi Taluka of Gondia District to tourists. World-class facilities have been created in this tourist spot. The “Bodalkasa” is equipped with two-bedded 8 VIP Suites, two-bedded 8 Deluxe Suites, two-bedded 8 Standard AC Rooms, 10-bedded Dormitory (non-AC), 8-bedded two Dormitories (non-AC), cafeteria and conference hall for 100 people.
The MTDC is also planning to create Coffeetable Book and App for a wide publicity of tourist spots in Vidarbha.
