Nagpur News: The Nagpur MP Vilas Muttemwar, Opposition Leader in Nagpur Municipal Corporation Vikas Thakre and other Congress Corporators met the Chief Minister Prithiviraj Chavan in Nagpur. Muttemwar submitted a memorandum of demands pertaining to NMC’s various proposals on various important issues.
One of the demands concerned to the speedy development works in Nagpur and handing over of ownership rights to thousands of slum-dwellers. Muttemwar urged the Chief Minister to quickly decide over the fulfilling the pending demands on various problems including the planned reservation under the Gunthewari Act, cancellation of reservation in the green zone, and no hike in passenger fares by the Star Bus.
The Relief and Rehabilitation Minister Patangrao Kadam, EGS Minister Nitin Raut, Guardian Minister Shivajirao Moghe, Minister of State for Finance Rajendra Mulak, MLA Dinanath Padole and others were present on the occasion.
