Nagpur: In a devastating turn of event 29 year old man was killed after a rapidly driven Wagon R car knocked him down near Dhvantir Hospital Square in the wee hours on Monday.
According to police reports, deceased identified as Nilesh Navnath Wasnik, resident of Pankaj Nagar, Amravati Road was driving home on his bike (MH/31/EL/1155) when a speeding Wagon R car (MH/31/CP/9572) coming from wrong side hit his motorcycle.

Grievously injured Nilesh was rushed to Gupta Hospital in Ambazari, where doctors pronounced him dead. Later police took him to Government Medical College (GMC) for postmortem.
“After the impact, although people strived to grab the driver however he managed to flee from the spot by climbing children’s park wall. We have managed to seized the car and also launched hunt for the driver,” told Assiant Police Inspector, Sitabuldi L. R. Wakde to NT.
