Nagpur – A delegation of prominent advocates, led by Adv. Kamal Satuja, along with Adv. Roshan Bagde, President of DBA Nagpur, Adv. Manoj Moryani, Adv. Nitin Deshmukh, and Adv. Kailash Dodani, met with the Hon’ble Union Minister of Law and Justice, Mr. Arjun Ram Meghwal, at ITAT Nagpur.
During the meeting, several key issues were raised to enhance the welfare and security of legal practitioners. The advocates stressed the urgent need for the implementation of the Advocates Protection Act, aimed at safeguarding the interests of lawyers nationwide.
The delegation also proposed a stipend of INR 10,000 for newly enrolled advocates for the first three years of practice. Additionally, they suggested implementing a pension scheme for advocates aged 70 and above and emphasized the importance of providing comprehensive Mediclaim coverage for all legal professionals.
