Nagpur: In a joint effort by the Jagatik Ahinsa Din Ayojan Samiti and Nagpur City (District) Congress Committee, the 155th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, will be celebrated on October 2, 2024, at 8:30 a.m. at Variety Square, near the Gandhi Statue. The event, titled “Shanti Prarthana Abhivadan Karyakram,” will be held under the leadership of City Congress President and MLA Vikas Thakre and guided by Vilas Muttemwar, former Union Minister and Chief Coordinator of the Jagatik Ahinsa Din Ayojan Samiti.
The event will feature the presence of former ministers Dr. Nitin Raut, Satishbabu Chaturvedi, MLC Adv. Abhijeet Wanjari, former minister Haji Anees Ahmed, freedom fighter and Gandhian Leelatai Chitale, Gandhian Prof. Chandrashekhar Wankhede, and key state cell leaders.
