The police had registered a case on the complaint of Bhushan Ravindra Sable (47), a resident of Samarth Nagar, Nagpur against the accused persons. Sable is Director of JK Solution Pvt. Ltd. The company office is situated in Dharampeth. On August 11, a person named Pritesh Ingle called on Sable’s cell phone and informed him about getting the number from IndiaMart website. He inquired about refined sugar. Sable replied that his company does not sell any such product. When Sable checked IndiaMart website, he was surprised that someone was using his company name to dupe people. An email id and Paul Hansen’s number was mentioned on the website as contact person. However, this was not his real name.

Sable lodged a complaint with the Cyber Cell of Nagpur police. The police traced details of the cell phone number mentioned on the IndiaMart website and learnt that the number was registered in the name of Lamgolaun Singson of Tamenglong city of Manipur. But the cell phone number showed the location of Mehrauli in New Delhi. A special team traced the cell phone number and arrested the accused from New Delhi. The police produced the accused trio in the court on Monday and obtained their police custody till Thursday.

Different medicines, injections, creams, refined sugar and other products were found to be available for sale on the website, which also mentioned Paul Hanson as the contact person with mobile phone number and email id.

Sable, a resident of Sonegaon, filed a complaint at Bajaj Nagar Police Station. Subsequently, the investigation was handed over to the cyber cell. A team led by Senior PI Nitin Phatangare traced the fraudsters to Delhi.
