Nagpur: The Crime Branch of Nagpur Police on Thursday nabbed two members of an Uttar Pradesh-based ATM breaker gang, Satyaveer Kadai Singh and Naijere Azam Khan, for their alleged role in stealing cash from several such outlets in the city, including four on the same day before they were nabbed.
On Thursday, the gang had stolen cash from ATM kiosks at Shivaji Nagar, Ganesh Nagar, Golibar Chowk, and Zenda Chowk in Nagpur but ran out of luck when the cops chased and intercepted two of them.
Police said the racketeers used a metal strip to insert into the ATM machines before pulling out the currencies from the trays inside them. The gang reached the city a few days back and was involved in targeting the ATM kiosks earlier too, especially at places when chances of surveillance were lesser.
