Nagpur: Days have passed but vigilant officials of Nagpur Police are yet to ascertain on the whereabouts of the Pakistani number — 92-3093049221 — used for outraging modesty of a woman under Old Kamptee Police jurisdiction.
Notably, Old Kamptee Police had booked some unidentified person(s) allegedly for outraging the modesty of a woman over social messaging platform WhatsApp. Based on the complaint, cops booked the accused who called the victim via WhatsApp Call.

It is pertinent to mention that the woman was part of a WhatsApp group, which comprised people from various nations. The accused was also a participant of the same group. The accused reportedly tried to get in touch with the woman on November 21. However, when she refused his advances, he then tried to call her and also sent some objectionable texts, outraging her modesty. Following which the woman approached Old Kamptee Police Station.
Speaking to Nagpur Today, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Zone V Shravan Dath S informed, “As the number is not from India, the investigating team is taking time to trace the location of the accused user. Sensing the gravity of the matter, we are monitoring the probe. The accused shall be caught soon,” he said.
