Nagpur: The District and Sessions Court today ordered Ritika Maloo to be placed in police custody for three days in connection with the Ram Jhula hit-and-run case. This ruling came after the prosecution filed a revision petition, contesting an earlier decision by Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Archana Khedkar-Garad, who had rejected the request for police custody.
During the hearing, the prosecution argued that Maloo’s police custody was necessary to advance their investigation into her involvement in the case. The court agreed, overturning the previous ruling and granting a three-day police remand for further questioning.
The Ram Jhula hit-and-run case continues to attract attention due to its ongoing legal battle and the controversial circumstances surrounding the incident.
