Nagpur News: In a sharp response to the strike call given by the national body of lawyers to protest against the police lathi charge on lawyers in Jaipur, the advocates in Nagpur did not work for the entire day on Monday.
The lawyers joined the protest in full support to the strike call and also staged demonstration in front of the district court here.
The sudden strike by lawyers took many by surprise as most the people were seen wandering in the court premises to get their work done.

About 6,000 lawyers constituting Nagpur’s bar council participated in the strike. The lawyers were demanding strict action against the erring policemen so as tp avoid recurrence of similar incidents in future.
