Nagpur Municipal Corporation Launches New Online Services for Bus Users

On 08 July 2024, Hon. Mr. Abhijit Choudhary, Administrator of the Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), has launched several new online services to improve the convenience of bus users in Nagpur. The newly introduced services include the Chalo App for online bus tracking, the online city bus Mobile Ticket, and an online pass application process. Passengers can also pay for their tickets through UPI during their travels.

These services are designed to benefit users of the “Aapli Bus” system, making daily Citizens easier and more efficient. The initiative has been publicized across all major daily newspapers in the city to ensure that the public is well-informed.

The NMC encourages all citizens, especially school & College students, and all Citizens, to make the most of these facilities. With these new services, there will no longer be a need to rush for bus tickets and passes.

To use the online passes and mobile ticketing features, citizens need an Android mobile phone. They can download the Chalo App from the Google Play Store, install it, and then follow the instructions to purchase M Tickets and online passes as needed. Required documents include a school or college bonafide certificate, an ID card, an Aadhaar card, and a passport size photo.

For those without an Android mobile phone, counter bus passes can be obtained from the following locations in Nagpur:
1. Sitabuldi Depot, 3rd Floor, Modi No. 2, Near Manish Market Building
2. Wadi Depot, C, N.G. Wadi Naka, Behind the Pump – 10
3. Hingana Depot, Beside Vasudev Nagar Metro Station
4. Khapri Depot, Chungi Naka No. 8, Wardha Road, Nagpur
5. Chungi Naka No. 13, Transport Bhawan, Orange Market, Nagpur
On Monday, August 5, 2024, the Municipal Corporation will celebrate “Aapli Bus Digital Ticket Day” for the “Aapli Bus” service. On this day, students and the Nagpurains are encouraged to use the digital system for M Tickets and cashless transactions. The goal is to achieve over 20,000 digital UPI transactions and M Tickets on this day. We are arranging around 150 employee for assisting to passengers regarding Digital payment through UPI.
