Nagpur: Nisar Tamboli, an IPS officer from the 2005 Maharashtra batch, has been appointed as the new Joint Commissioner of Police for Nagpur City. Tamboli takes over from Aswati Dorje in this key role.
Prior to this, Tamboli served as Assistant Commissioner in the State Intelligence Department (SID) in Mumbai.
In other significant transfers, Nilesh Tambe, who was recently appointed as Principal of the Police Training Center in Nagpur, has been reassigned as Superintendent of Police in the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). Tambe previously served as the Additional SP in Nandurbar.
