Nagpur– Rohit Ajaysingh Thakur, 24, a wanted criminal from Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, was apprehended by Sitabuldi Police on Thursday. He had been evading arrest since June after attempting to murder an eatery owner, Saddam Wakil Ahmed, over a dispute about protection money.
Rohit and his accomplice, Ammu, attacked Saddam with a knife, leaving him gravely injured. While Ammu was arrested earlier, Rohit managed to evade capture until now. The police team, led by Senior PI Asaram Chormale, tracked him down based on a tip-off and seized the moped and knife used in the crime.
