Nagpur Police Commissioner Advocates for Drug-Free Future in City-Wide Talk Show

Nagpur: Nagpur Police Department hosted a talk show titled “Fight Against Drugs” at Tamarind Hall, Chitnavis Centre, Civil Lines, Nagpur. The event was led by Dr. Ravindrakumar Singal, Commissioner of Police, Nagpur City, and saw a significant turnout from school and college directors, NGO members, students, and young citizens.

During his address, Commissioner Singal discussed strategies to combat drug abuse and emphasized the collective responsibility to safeguard the future generation and channel their energy into positive societal contributions. He expressed his gratitude for the public’s enthusiastic participation, noting that it was his first time attending such an event on this topic.

The Commissioner also highlighted the importance of traffic rule compliance, mentioning ongoing workshops in schools and colleges to educate the public. He advised vigilance against cyber crimes and encouraged responsible use of technology, noting the Cyber Cell’s success in freezing accounts of cybercriminals and recovering defrauded funds.

Emphasizing the continuous police efforts to monitor and combat the illegal drug trade, Commissioner Singal reassured the public of the city’s commitment to their safety. He called for active public participation, stressing the importance of a collaborative approach to these issues.

The talk show was attended by senior police officials, including the Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime), Additional Commissioner of Police (South Division), Additional Commissioner of Police (North Division), Deputy Commissioners of Police from zones 1 to 5, Assistant Commissioners of Police, and officers from the Anti-Narcotics Squad.
