Nagpur Police Commissioner Launches ‘Cyber Club’ to Bolster Cyber Security in Educational Institutions

Nagpur: In an effort to enhance cyber awareness and address related issues among students, Police Commissioner Dr. Ravindra Singhal inaugurated the ‘Cyber Club’ at Ramdev Baba College of Engineering, Gittikhadan. This initiative aims to actively promote cyber security across educational institutions in Nagpur.

Dr. Singhal urged every school and college in the city to establish Cyber Clubs, fostering committees comprising teachers and students to ensure a safe platform, especially for women facing cyber threats.

Dr. Rashmi Velekar, a faculty member of the Cyber Club, commenced the program, with Dr. Singhal outlining its objectives and providing detailed guidance on preventing cyber crimes. Deputy Police Commissioner Nimit Goyal discussed preventive measures against cyber offenses.

The event was hosted by Vedant Nayudu and Varday Kulkarni, with Dr. Rakesh Kadu expressing gratitude. The program saw participation from Cyber Police station officers, faculty members, and a large number of students.”
