Nagpur Police Destroy 733 kg of Seized Cannabis in Drug-Free City Drive

Nagpur: In a significant move towards making Nagpur a drug-free city, the Nagpur Police destroyed a staggering 733.78 kilograms of seized cannabis. The destruction took place on the morning of August 14, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Maharashtra Enviro Power Limited, located in the Butibori MIDC area, Mandwa Village, Nagpur.

The illicit substances were disposed of under the supervision of the Narcotics Committee to ensure proper protocol. The cannabis was seized in connection with a total of 110 cases registered under the NDPS Act at various police stations under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Police. Legal procedures were completed, and the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board granted the necessary permissions for the destruction.
