Nagpur:In preparation for the upcoming Ganeshotsav and Eid-e-Milad celebrations, which are set to take place within the next week, the Nagpur police are taking proactive steps to ensure law and order in the city.
A meeting was held today at Siddheshwar Hall in the Ajni area of Nagpur, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Archit Chandak from Zone 4. The meeting brought together police officials and members of the Peace Committee to discuss safety and coordination during the festive period.
The event saw the participation of officers from police stations in Ajni, Beltarodi, Hudkeshwar, Sakkardara, Nandanvan, Imamwada, and Wathoda, along with confidential informants, Peace Committee members, and around 400 to 500 office-bearers of various Ganesh mandals.
During the meeting, the committee members discussed their plans and expectations for the festivals, while also addressing concerns raised by the public. DCP Chandak assured attendees that the police force is fully equipped to maintain law and order, and that strict vigilance will be maintained to prevent any untoward incidents.
The police also urged citizens to celebrate Ganeshotsav in a peaceful and courteous manner, ensuring a harmonious atmosphere throughout the festivities.
