The criminals, armed with swords, crowbars, and sticks, strategically disrupted electricity and forcibly held Amit’s elderly mother at knifepoint when she attempted to investigate. Inside the house, Amit was escorted to the bedroom, where the dacoits seized the opportunity to ransack cupboards, with their main focus on locating the Rs eight lakh cash that Amit had stored for business transactions.

Fearing detection as Swapnil, Amit’s elder brother, grew suspicious and swiftly dialed emergency services (112) while alerting neighbors, the dacoits hastily fled the scene.

The prompt response of Deputy Commissioner of Police for Zone 4 Vijaykant Sagar, Senior Police Inspector Shubhangi Deshmukh, and the police force, including Crime Branch personnel, resulted in the registration of a robbery case.

Within a remarkably short span of 36 hours, the dedicated investigative team, led by DCP Detection Archit Chandak, ACP Abhijit Patil, PSI Mayur Chaurasiya, and including Police Constable Rajesh Deshmukh, Sunil Thawkar, Ravi Ahir, Prashant Gabhane, and others, successfully apprehended several suspects.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Jayant Satish Kamble, Nikhil Kaithwas, Sheikh Amin Sattar, Altaf Khan, along with Mangesh Jhalke and Sumit Ghode, the latter providing crucial information leading to the breakthrough.

However, the search intensifies for Imran Khan, Danish, Abdul Fahim, and two others who remain at large and are currently absconding.
