The Ramjhula hit-and-run incident, which took place on February 25, had sparked widespread attention. Ritika Malu, allegedly driving a Mercedes at high speed under the influence of alcohol, ran over two young men, Mohammed Hussain and Mohammed Atif Mohammed Zia, who both lost their lives in the tragic accident.

The court’s decision to deny bail came following a report by the CID. Malu was arrested around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, and further legal proceedings are underway as the investigation continues.
